Capital CrossFit Suffer on Saturday's workout - 300 "the Gates of Fire" 10 Mar 2007. Did you know the actors portraying Spartan warriors in the movice adaption of Frank Miller's 300 used CrossFit methods to prepare for their roles?

  • How pray tell do YOU workout?

    Crossfit has a great impact on physical health and core strength. Nobody's saying a 300lb man should step up and try this workout. Obviously it takes time to get to a point in which you can workout in this manner. But practically all forms of exercise come with hazards. That doesn't mean everyone should just stick to jogging and monotonous routines a few times a week. The body responds better to variety. Surprised you didn't know this.

  • Don't bother with them. They don't care about actual fitness, only the appearance of fitness.

  • for all you globo gym rats, your workouts are my warm up. Read the science behind crossfit, and you will see that even guys in their 60's are blowing 30 year olds away. If you can have a 70 year old grandmother start crossfit, its time rethink your perception of crossfit. Don't talk about it. Just try it!

  • dropout rate in a regular gym within 6 months is 75%

    Navy Seal Buds dropout rate is 65% :P

  • Lol, they are the noisiest too, push themselves so hard that they probably cant walk for a week. No wonder they never come back, until the next year.

  • True it's not for everyone. What does the hallowed wikipedia say though about dropouts from "standard" gyms? I used to go to the local Y and every Jan there's what we call the New Years resolution crowd. Wait a month or two and they've almost all quit.
