I am from germany and I can only say i LOVE the netherlands and their people!

while the worldcup 2006 i saw them camping in frankfurt, they really know how to party :)

But you said "wtf is the Netherlands in Europe?" Well ehmm, the most important sea port, and importer of good in Europe. The biggest distributer as well. Besides that, Germany and the Netherlands rely heavily on eachother. Germany would not be anything without the Netherlands. The Netherlands would not be anything without Germany... we need eachother.
