Aerobic-Threshold runs (just below anaerobic death-zone) through the Sugarhouse Park geese, initiated the training for the week. A few hikes with some bold late season snow sliding (a young person's technique) in the Wasatch complimented the intense training in town. For the week-end, the team headed for the Sprint for the Summit, Suffer-fest held at Summit Park. The choices of which summit were either a 5k out-and-back trail or a 12k loopy trail run. A few were lost, none permanently, only two confessed faintings, but no hallucinations, black bears, nor moose attacks. One skier then headed directly on wobbly legs for a few days in the higher mountains. Ouch, 100+ temps in the forecast.
