@IiGgOoRrish you need to treat the Al with HCl first to remove the oxide layer.

Nope, just make a NaCl solution and put the Aluminium in.

the reaction is not that vigourous in H2O only and the reaction is very slow.

caustic soda is the simple way to do this at home ...if you wanted to ? yep drain cleaner ...an alkali

I tried to do this but nothing happened! i even heat the water and nothing again!!!

wouldn't even sligtly acidic pH help ?

you are right, but i treated the aluminium with HgCl2 before i put it into the water
