How can so many symptoms be linked to one tiny biochemical substance? Hormones are very powerful substances found in tiny amounts in the bloodstream. They initiate cell actions as well as help regulate, control, and coordinate body functions. They are not just for reproduction, although they do that, but they work throughout the body in the brain and nervous system. That is why emotions are affected. They are part of the stress handling hormones. That's why women have difficulty handling stress. They are part of the fuel system hormones. They keep our blood sugar steady. That's why women have sweet and carb cravings. They are energy hormones, reproductive hormones, stress handling hormones, anti-aging hormones, body repair and rebuilding hormones. They do lots of things so lots can go wrong. Would you imagine that the intelligence within our body would have a very specific and well controlled check and balance system to control such a powerful substance? Substances that can either regenerate or degenerate our body.
The HP Axis is the Hypothalamus-Pituitary Axis that is located in the brain and controls and oversees functions of the hormonal system in general. The limbic system, which controls our emotions, is a part of this communication pathway from the brain to the glands. The hypothalamus gathers information from the glands and makes a decision to make more or less hormones, sends a signal to the pituitary gland which then signals to the gonads for more or less hormones. The hormones are either taken in or shut out by the cell receptors who either increase or decrease sensitivity to the cell membrane. This way a cell cannot take in too much hormone. This check and balance system is regulated very tightly. What happens when this coordination is interrupted?
HP Axis signaling is set on a negative feedback loop. The HP Axis speaks to the ovaries to make hormones, the ovaries respond and do so sending a signal back to the HP Axis, and the HP Axis quiets its signal so production is slowed. When the hormone level drops to a certain level, a signal is sent back to the HP Axis and it speaks to the ovaries to make more hormones. Synthetic hormones in oral and injected contraceptives work by interfering with this signaling and stopping ovulation. However, this signaling doesn't always turn back on when the synthetic hormone is stopped. Other means of interruptions are conventional HRT, consuming non-organic meat and dairy, and xenohormones found in plastics and pesticides.
Improper signaling from the brain to the glands is the most common cause of hormone imbalance. The limbic system is affected by this improper signaling and thus symptoms such as mood swings, depression, anxiety, anger, irritability are a huge part of female hormone imbalance. We have natural products that will reconnect this vital pathway and reset this important dance between the brain and gonads. Our bodies are obsessed with a drive to regenerate, restore and repair. By understanding the basic concepts, finding the imbalance, and giving the body the nutrients it needs, we don't need to make our body healthy, we only need to allow our body to be healthy.

There are, though, several things that you can do to relieve menopause mood swings. Most of them are pretty simple, too. Eating a balanced diet full of proteins and vitamins. Also natural supplements can reduce the intensity of lots of menopause related worries like stress and anger which are also indirectly related to mood swings.
