Why does everyone call them "Say-Ga" like Saga Genesis? I thought it was pronounced "Sigh-ga" by the Russians. That's how I've been saying it.

@master123izo Maybe in the world of master123izo their are no more "true AK's" BUT in this REAL WORLD, there are! Izhamsh="Original AK" manufacturer. Izhmash is still in business and makes AK-47's. The 47 just denotes a model and yes it was made in 1947 but thats the name it was give cuz of the year it was made/completed. This is not like a car where youre models vary greatly year by year. Can u imagine the AK-2012? Come one man!!!!

@redparrot99 All depends on your nation, friend. In the U.S, we can get one for roughly 600 new, give or taken 100 depending on location (American). Its a long gun, so its 18 and up. Police depot (thats where i got mine), gun show, more tactical directed gun shops, not to mention, online.

If you reside in Europe, i dunno. Probably a permit would be in order. Not to mention, ammo and what not would be more expensive. If you give me your country, I can probably help you out more.

Its not like im ordering you to learn Russian or do what you do differently.. Just minimal respect. If I say colt I make sure I pronounce it right..

@master123izo I think he's saying compared to OTHER brand/make/models of AK's, this one's receiver and bbl were made in the Russia, it's just like how I find my, Russian produced Arsenal SGL 21 to be the closest to an AK-100 series in 7.62x39mm(AK-103-ish), minus the desireable (but not liked by me for shooting) left folding stock. Theyre all GOOD! Hell my ole' WASR 10 was the FARTHEST THING from a 'true AK', but damned if it didnt eat cases of steel-cased and brass-cased and BEG FOR MORE!!

Did the wire stock require any mods? I found a super cheap 5.45 and just picked up a loaded Tantal. Thinking of buying a Saiga in 5.45 and converting it off the parts (minus the trigger of course) from the Tantal.
