  • No, carding will not remove any seeds from raw cotton. These can only be removed by pulling them out by hand. Some people have had luck with using a pasta rolling device, rolling the cotton through it makes the seeds pop out. But it really is easiest to just pull them out by hand.

  • These handcards were made by Fricke.  The brush area measures 4in by 5 in. I do not know the exact teeth count for the carding cloth, it is what I consider a fine teeth brush cloth. If I measure an inch on the brush cloth I count 7 teeth, with 6 teeth right below that. Hope that helps.

  • Is this the same process for removing the seeds from the cotton or is there a different tool for that?

    I have a bunch of raw cotton and trying to figure out an easy way to remove the seeds.
