@Destiny8001 she didn't need to be the camp bully in this one though....but she is important in the later books.

Clarisse did need to be in the movie, as she plays an important roll throughout the rest of the series. Book 2: She's the one who gets the quest for the Sea of Monsters. Book 3: She's exploring the labrynth, and finds that Chris guy. 4: taking care of that Chris guy, whom joins back with Camp-half blood. 5: She slays that dracon thingy. 2: It was a very necessary detail for the later story.

Clarisse didn't need to be in the movie because Percy is like 15 in the movie there's no reason for him to be bullied by a girl. 2. he didn't need to see the fates it was an unnecessary detail. but they did leave out ares and Kronos. my guess is that they are going to bring him in early in the second movie. anyway I'm bias for the movie because i love it so much.

No one is complaining about the age, from what I saw. However, they left out a few important details, the fates, the oracle, Clarisse, Ares being the bad guy, Kronos, they even made Hades the bad guy. It seems that these people read the first few chapters and decided to make a movie.

like every other movie adaption they leave out some details that are going to make you lose sight of the goal of the movie.....in the book percy came to camp half blood at twelve years old who the fuck wants to watch a movie about three 6th graders..... All in all this was a great film....
