This is me attempting to ride all the public People-Movers in the Burlington Mall, better known as the West Orange Pavilion in the movie Paul Blart: Mall Cop, in Bulington, Massachusetts. Most of the movie was shot here, as some arial stunts were shot elsewhere, like the Elevator Attack (South Shore Plaza, in Braintree, MA), and a few other scenarios.

This is a reuploading of the original edited video, as in-video annotations were cut off, or missing altogether. No matter how it's drawn, it'll all be there this time, and actually looks neater this time around.

This was NOT smooth AT ALL. I'll let the video show what went horribly wrong, and I'm not talking about the scrapped 1'st attempt (missing Nordstrom's).
Will it happen? Will I get a sucessful Gauntlet? WATCH, AND FIND OUT!

All music by Kevin MacLeod (Royalty-Free)

PS: I have kind words for Allied-Barton at the end. :)

  • SIMON malls are hard on elevator photographers.

  • @suejoshappy

Most of them are. One mall actually allowed me to do it, so long as I didn't bother/capture others.

  • Did u really get caught by security

  • @treyelevators

    Twice.

  • Here's what I think YouTube should do about music in the videos: Instead of flagging you and I for copyright, why don't they just place a link with the video where viewers can go to iTunes and purchase the songs?

  • @ElevatorGuy7200

Actually, they do that. One option is to run ads on videos, and leave links, no questions asked, no strikes, or problems. The other options, we all know, strip the audio, or whole video from the site.

  • I am so glad you won against the mall guards, who are basically security THUGS! I am a 1st Amendment/Constitution advocate 100%, and I can not believe they put out an all points bulletin for someone doing nothing harmful! Meanwhile, there might be a mass shooting, a terrorist explosion, a sexual attack, or a shoplifting going on, and yet, they take down an innocent person with a camera?! Give me a break!

  • @georgef551 it's not a public place, you're thinking of things like a public park, etc. A mall is private property open to the public. Don't confuse unlocked doors as an invitation to do whatever you want on THEIR property.

  • @jaster1138

Private property, sure, PUBLIC PLACE, yes.

The rule is grossly outdated, as it was to discourage people with their big cameras, and larger camcorders, from distracting and intefering with people's duties, and privacy. Nowadays, everyone's got cameras, and everyone uses them in malls, and other quasi-private locations. They need to bother people that are being intrusive, and bothersome, which I tried to be neither. This place is paranoid, anyway....

  • I don't understand what 1st Amendment right they tried to violate? Please explain. Malls are private property remember...you have no freedom to even be there if they so choose to ask you to leave. Just cause it's a MALL doesn't make it any less private than a HOME.

You just witnessed someone beat the system, which is a very rare event, with Allied Barton Security.
