Record Tornado season linked to Cold Norther Air from record Snows this winter

The Article listes 4 reasons for this years record Season

1) Cold Norther Air (from Record Snow falls this winter)
2) A lower jet stream
3) warmer sea temps.
4) More people around to see them

IMHO number 4 does not count because there are not really any more people in the USA today than there were in 2003 when the last record year was recorded

And reasons 1-3 are IMHO ALL just factors related to Cold Norther Air.

I know exactly what you are talking about here

I recall that as kids my brothers and I would laugh looking at the Calanders of Washington State (we saw for sale in Ohio). The PICS were ALL of Sunny Skys over Mt. Rainier and Great looking Girls on the Beaches under bright sunshine.(lol)

we later found out these Calanders were the product of the Washington Tourist Chamber (lol!)

To be honest though I love Wenatchee! The Columbia there is beautiful and a great spot to Kayak/fish.

I was conned into moving to Wenatchee in the Pacific North West from Northern England when they talked about 8 inches rain and 300 days sun. The 300 days sun is a straight tourist dept lie any year (more like 109 according to scientific data). But this last winter has been horribly drizzly, cloudy cold.

Of course it's a La Nina year which is due to end soon - the forecast is 80's for the weekend. My chums in England have been golfing in T shirts while I shiver in Central Washington State
