In this video I countdown and show you the Top Ten Weirdest Dismissals In International Cricket.

Yyeesss, the video quality is far from brilliant, yes the text colours are horrible and yes I know many of you do not appreciate the music over the commentary.
I made it when I was 13 years old. Clearly I had no idea what I was doing. Let's leave it at that.

SONGS:

1. Ready, Steady, Go - Paul Oakenfeld
2. I'm On My My - The Proclaimers
3. We Will Rock You - Queen

  • @Nizzleson Thank you for giving me a thoughtful response. I know my post was probably quite annoying to die hard cricket fans...I was just giving my honest reaction to the video because I've never actually watched cricket before. I have no doubt that it is a great sport, it just looks so bizarre to me. I'm trying to figure out the rules so I can watch it and understand what is going on because it looks rather interesting :)

  • @rahul121086 As mentioned before this must be a language difference if that motion cannot also be described as pitching. I completely understand if bowling is a better way to describe it but it looks incredibly similar to pitching in baseball. I have no clue if pitching is easier or harder than bowling...though in all honesty bowling looks easier. I'm sure there are a lot of nuances to bowling that I am not aware of though.

  • @Mickylats21 Also I am watching this again and I don't think I can describe very well what I find so weird about the way they are dressed...maybe it's the odd hats? Maybe it's the team that appears to be wearing sweater vests? I don't know exactly...maybe I am just used to sports where the teams wear the same uniforms (obviously with different colors). These teams all appear to have completely different uniforms.

  • @Mickylats21 I looked it up on Wikipedia and it says exactly what I said. You told me that the bowler doesn't 'throw the ball'. Ok...yes...he does throw it. This sport is just using a strict definition to differentiate between bowling and throwing. This could be a language difference but that certainly looks like throwing to me.

  • @schmuckyou Ok again its called a "bowler" not a "pitcher" secondly you are the typical American ignorant yank, you have absolutely no understanding of something but tell the people that do have an understanding that they are wrong.... look up bowling (cricket) in Wikipedia which explains exactly why the BOWLER does not throw the ball, throwing the ball is in fact illegal. And how is cricket dressed funny compared to NFL?

  • @schmuckyou hope you know he is not a pitcher. Neither is he pitching. He is not supposed to. It needs much more skill and brawn than baseball.. :)

  • @schmuckyou If I my respond: 1) Not all time highlights, just weird ways for a batter to go out. If you don't know the usual ways, you won't get why these are interesting. 2) Dressed ridiculously how? The pads and stuff? Fast balls are legally bowled at head, legs, groin, chest in cricket. Death and broken bones need to be avoided where possible. 3) In cricket, you have to keep your arm straight when "pitching." The run is for rhythm and pace. Accuracy is pinpoint at up to 100mp/h.

  • @hafishai No 5 aint sad its stupid batting and smart keeping the ball wasnt dead and he was out of his crease.

  • ahaha love it how the square leg umpire tried to signal to murali to get back in his crease
