Von Cello, the famous rock cellist is also a published composer with Oxford University Press; but he began his career as a guitarist singer/songwriter. And while he has dedicated himself to revolutionizing the cello, he never stopped writing songs.
Aaron Minsky (aka Von Cello) wrote the music for the ballad "Show Me The Way" (words by Ken Berman and Pearl Tisman Minsky) for the T.R.Y. theater company. Some have compared it to "The Greatest Love of All" for its beautiful lines, and words about finding oneself. It was performed in the show "The Right Moves" and was a performance highlight of Aaron's pre Von Cello band, Smooth Groove. Here it is performed by Tanya Carmen, lead singer for the band (former back up singer for several stars including Debbie Gibson). At the end of the video we see Aaron joined by his bandmate C.K. James, "the keeper of the groove" interviewed by legendary producer Sid Bernstein.
