EV1 Gen1: Last Ride

The Gen1 version of the EV1 was recalled back in March 2006 due to an electical issue. The day before I took my last ride. I was later able to get a Gen2 but had to return it when the lease expired as GM ended the program, the car was later crushed by GM.

at 1:14 your battery gauge shows approximately 50% battery charge remaining, and only 19 miles left, which means a full charge only got you about 40 miles? That can't be right, I thought this car was supposed to go almost 100 miles under optimal conditions. Was your battery in bad condition or were you driving so hard that the remaining miles estimate was diminished such a substantial amount?

I just watched Who killed the electric car, and the ev1 was one of the best electric cars produced. It was big oil, GM and consumers that caused the ev1 to flop. People are to selfish to give up their individual wants for the greater good. Instead of keeping Ev1 on the market GM scrapped the Electric car idea and went with the Hummer instead....WTF?!
