The G/S/C remix makes it sound like Vermillion City was struck by a hurricane right before Gold got there. It has that sad sound to it...

It's a better remix than the G/S/C remix, which was just weirdly quiet.
This one does a pretty good job of capturing the brassy, boisterous feel the original theme had.
