What's My Age Again - Blink 182 (bass)

This is me just trying to follow along on the bass. I know where the song slows down I mess up a little. Please any comments and suggestions would be good. Any rude remarks please keep to yourself.

To answer some of the many comments posted...

First off my bass is an Ibanez GSR200FML which is more an entry level bass I know but it does sound nice. The amp is a Fender RUMBLE 25. Also more of an entry level amp but it does the job.

This video was done when I fist started learning to play bass. I know the bass lines are very easy but I was always told the best way to learn is to start out playing stuff you like. So I started with blink and since than I have moved on to some more difficult songs as I have progressively gotten better.

What you are hearing is a recording done with a midi playing through speakers and me playing along. I used a midi for two reasons, one being YouTube strict copyrights and second so you could pick out me playing a little easier.

To some people who pointed out my mistakes thank you, I wasn't 100% sure on a few parts but I did my best to fill it in.

As for singing, yeah that would not be one of the better ideas. I tried a few times and it just sounds like Barry White singing pop punk music.

i think using fingrs is beter but othrwise it sounds pretty good

@evanplaysbass97 Don't often see Mark use his fingers, pick seems to give Blink songs a great sound. We do a lot of covers of older songs with a punk sort of remix to it and I finger those.

Yeah I used a pick.. Haven`t herd to many Blink songs played with the fingers.. The only one I do with the fingers because it gives it a deeper sound is "I Miss You".

As I explained in the info when I was making this YouTube was starting to implement really strict copyright crap so I wasn't sure if they were going to remove covers. I'll get around to redoing it one day just been to busy.
