Born in Córdoba in 1992, his talent has been praised by specialized critics and conductors such as Manuel Hernández-Silva, Daniel Barenboim or Leo Brouwer who in 2009 wrote: "Paco Montalvo is a genius". He becomes the first soloist in the 21st century to make his début in Carnegie Hall's, "Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage at the age of 18, and the first Spanish musician of his age to make his début in the main auditorium of this famous stage, receiving great success and acclaim from both the audience and expert commentators playing the Nº 1 Concerto of Niccolo Paganini.
Amongst the numerous prizes and distinctions, he was awarded first place among the most outstanding young violinists in the world at the Stradivari Society in Chicago. He has been trained by his father, a professor at the Conservatorio Superior de Música (CSM) in Córdoba, and by the most eminent professors of the renowned Russian, French, German, and Italian schools, receiving classes from Yuri Petrossian and later on Nestor Eidler, Jean Jacques Katorow and Claus Peters. He furthers his training at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory of Moscow, the Meadowmount School USA and the Salzburg Mozarteum University, receiving master classes from Victor Pikaizen, Igor Ozim, Alexander Markov and Joel Smirnoff, Dean of the Juilliard School of New York, amongst other eminent professors.
He has performed with prominent orchestras, amongst which feature the Israel Symphonic, the ORTVE, the National Cuban Symphonic Orchestra, the New England Symphonic and the Cordoba Symphonic of Spain. He completed his violin studies at the age of 16 with honors at the CSM of Córdoba with Professor Luis R Gallardo. Following his degree, he is completing his studies at the Reina Sofía Superior School of Madrid with Professors Zakhar Bron and Yuri Volguin. He has been awarded scholarships at the Principe de Asturias Foundation, the Barenboim-Saïd Foundation, the Stradivari Society, the Albéniz Foundation and by the Spanish Government as the "Young Professional of Culture" representing Spain since 2006 in the candidacy of European Culture "Cordoba 2016".
He performs with a 1660 Niccolo Amati violin.


Nacido en Córdoba en 1992; Su talento ha sido valorado por la crítica especializada y directores como Manuel Hernández-Silva, Daniel Barenboim o Leo Brouwer quien en 2009 escribe: "Paco Montalvo es un genio". Se convierte en el primer solista del S. XXI que a la edad de 18 años debuta en el Carnegie Hall "Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage" de Nueva York, así como en el primer músico español que a su edad, debuta en la sala principal de este mítico escenario, obteniendo gran éxito de crítica y público, en la interpretación del Concierto Nº 1 de Niccolo Paganini.
Entre los numerosos premios y menciones, fue presentado en primer lugar por The Stradivari Society entre los jóvenes violinistas más destacados del mundo en Chicago. Se ha formado junto a su padre Francisco Montalvo, Profesor del CSM de Córdoba. Y con los más distinguidos profesores de las grandes escuelas, rusa, francesa, alemana e italiana, recibiendo clases con Yuri Petrossian y más tarde de Nestor Eidler, Jean-Jacques Katorow, Mathis Fischer y Klaus Peters. Amplia su formación en el Conservatorio Tchaicovsky de Moscú, en Meadowmount School (USA), o la Universidad Mozarteum de Salzburgo, realizando master clases con Victor Pikaizen, Igor Ozim, Alexander Markov o Joel Smirnoff Decano de la Juilliard School entre otros maestros.
Ha actuado junto a destacadas orquestas entre ellas, la Sinfónica de Israel, la ORTVE, la Sinfónica Nacional de Cuba, la New England Symphonic o la Orquesta de Córdoba entre otras. Finalizó los estudios de Violín con Matricula de Honor a los 16 años en el CSM de Córdoba con el Profesor Luis R. Gallardo. Tras su licenciatura, completa su formación en la Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía con el Profesor Zakhar Bron y Yuri Volguin. Ha sido becado por la Fundación Príncipe de Asturias, la Fundación Barenboim-Said, The Stradivari Society, la Fundación Albéniz y por el Gobierno de España como "Joven Profesional de la Cultura", representando desde 2006 la Candidatura Cultural Europea "Córdoba 2016".
Interpreta con un violín Niccolo Amati de 1660.
