We'd like to see something working, right? Here's a more elegant prototype.

The last engine proved that you can get some real work out of a thermal wheel, it just looked less than convincing with the erratic motion.
This new video should easily demonstrate the concept of more masses on the perimeter equals greater average power. A properly coupled load and why it is important is also demonstrated.

The spheres are 22mm diameter and hold 3ml of methanol, construction is borosilicate (Pyrex tm) glass under 15mmHg.
