I remember this movie very well-I have had similiar life-and yes,I still get high at 52 years old
and my step-father is dead from meth and I just smoke pot,but,I must say that his dad never should of killed him...............

@meattyBeaty : Richie did die. The movie is based on a book written in part by Richie's father. And the movie is pretty faithful to the book.... his father did end up shooting him sadly. I'm not sure about his friends. This was quite some time ago, so, I'd imagine at least some of them have died.

I remember this film so well it made me so sad, this and the episode of Kojak when his nephew is a heroin addict, scary stuff but somehow it all promoted drug use, no such thing as bad publicity when it comes to drugs
