Terrestrial jump of zebrafish, "Danio rerio," in response to being placed on a damp surface. Zebrafish are not known to voluntarily come out of the water onto land, but are able to produce a coordinated leap using a "tail-flip" behavior that appears to date back at least 150 million years, according to Miriam Ashley-Ross, a Wake Forest University biology professor.
