This is a quick review and test of the RODEHS1 headset mic. A very lightweight, small mic which is great for using during recording of software simulations, podcasts, eLearning narration, public speaking and more. Got this one from Marcos at www.sweetwater.com.

  • Hi Allen, the HS1 doesn't need phantom power according to the manual, but I couldn't get it to workwithout it. I am using the Micon converter and it works fine. Pretty happy with the mic after several months of usage on live shows and even some VO recording. I don't like the fact that it keeps coming off the headset part (bad design on Rode's part). But sound quality is amazingly clear for such a small mic.

Price range is $299 for the others who asked...

  • Sure I do. There are over 60 Adobe Captivate podcasts. Recently I've done other things but stay tuned... More Adobe Captivate is coming... :)

  • My isn't receiving Phantom Power. I know my 48V Phantom Power source isn't the cause because it works with my other condenser microphones. I'm using the Micon-5 adapter? Is this the one you're using? Any suggestions?

  • price range for the HS1?

  • your channel is called adobecaptivate but you don't show any real damn thing about adobe captivate EVER. lol.
