The new series of Primeval starts on Friday 28th March 2009 and will be accompanied on ITV.com with a ten-week interactive drama called Primeval Evolved. Using a mixture of exclusive video and puzzle-solving games, it will extend the users understanding of the Primeval universe and characters and place them in the heart of the action.

Primeval Evolved will enlist the user as a research assistant at the ARC and give them the opportunity to assist their favourite characters in their very special research. At the same time, a mysterious woman called Eve will contact the user and enlist their help with a top secret mission.

The user will have to ensure the ARC team does not inadvertently cause another change in evolution. Eve warns that if it happens again it will be catastrophic for humanity.

The online drama will be made up of 10 chapters and will commence shortly before the first episode of Primeval 3. The story will unfold in concert with the new season, and will finish after Episode 9 with a cliff-hanger that resolves in Episode 10 on air. From week 10 onwards a short epilogue video will introduce the site content. Each online chapter will roll out over two days each week.

Primeval Evolved will engage the audience in exciting interactive storytelling that is tightly integrated with the on-air story.

Oh I miss this! The good old days where Primeval, Zoology and Cryptozoology were at an all time high in my life! Probably explains the strange new fears I picked up in that year, I think I've gone a little suspicious about owls now...
