@DisreputableCharles it's like an endless cycle isnt it? according to the maga, syaoran went to another world to see sakura because his mother had a dream. (his mother was sakura.) later, both sakura and syaoran were dead, and yuko gave them a chance to be reborn, and as a price, she gave her own life. those two became the parents of the SAME syaoran who would travel to another world to meet sakura. and in order to stop that cycle, another sakura from another world gave her wand to pay the price

@danihimee It would appear that the first pair were replaced by the third pair when they were reincarnated into a previous time stream, making them the Real Syaoran's parents...and there are theories that the first pair are Syaoran and Sakura from Cardcaptor Sakura, but that theory is debunked by the scene in which it shows Sakura "from another world" (Sakura from Cardcaptor) giving her the staff in a dream.

If I undestand rigth this history, we have three syaorans and three sakuras; firts couple, the syoran's parents, then the second couple, sakura(I can't remember who were her parents) and syaoran(son of the big syaoran and sakura), and finally the third couple, the clones of sakura and syaoran...
