@billyboy19742004 Timed to coincide to elections; can you imagine?! It seems like our outrage of Katrina, intrusive airport security, dubious Acts, BP oil spill, etc., never lasts more than 2 weeks. However, that might be artificial as it appears that "news" outlets are the ones that drop the subjects after 2 weeks or so. Of course we easily forget after that. Our pro-meddling in Lybia gets more air time than our, equally as lengthy, protests at home.

@6of6 Sad but true. 80% of us will always be content to live in a world created for us by the other 20%. I think we can safely assume all efforts to ignite a movement to throw out the neo-cons should be directed toward helping those in the latter group to somehow take the initiative away from the fascists. Even if there's only a 2 week window for holding the herds' interest like you say, if those weeks are timed to coincide with elections much can still be acheived.

If someone would take the time to paraphrase and simplify the Patriot Act into bulletpoints and subsets, perhaps we might be outraged. For 2 weeks at least. Then it'll be back to sports, social media, american idol, downlading iPhone apps, TMZ ....

@medialiars2010 you know nothing for a fact...I know this site as the news which I call news. They interview with intelligent questions, and allow the interviewed to speak without interruption. For me, after listening to these interviews I can come to my own understandings. There is no screaming, no background music punctuating thoughts as in a movie, nor is there on going movement somewhere because the viewer can't stay focused without it. People who listen here listen with intelligence.
