Think what you want about the man personlly, but when TRUTH is spoken it should be recognized, and he is RIGHT about the the lyrics in music. Music had the power to uplift inspire and motivate. It serves as an emotional backdrop for your life, and does effect you mentally, especially when you repeat it like a mantra. Black people have always used music for that purpose, there seems to be a disconnect in this generation.
"Nigga" should be fine across the board then, from black to white, unless used in a derogatory manner. It's like Carlin says, context is what counts. It's the racist asshole who's using it you ought to be concerned about.
people dont like negative rap because it is the reality of what goes on in inner city slums ( for the most part) if the reality of a situation is never brought to the surface it will never be addressed. people dont like hearing about city slums, murders, kids starving in africa because it is the reality of what happens in the world. it makes people sick and any person who turns a blind eye to the problems in our world today is more ignorant, and immoral than any rapper.
whos to say the word nigga doesnt mean black is beautiful. i see the word nigga as a slap in the face to every racist out there. i see the word nigga as the black community coming together, and taking a word that was used by racists and turning it around in a positive light. the use of the word nigga , in a non derogatory manner is just another form of blacks overcoming a racist society
We have a few Artist that perform good music but they're not the ones in rotation like some of these horrible Rap songs that mean nothing but negative stuff to do,oh I forgot they call that keeping it real.
Another black racist that thinks he is an intellect, this is what MLK and political correctness has done to America, and soon the same premise will give it up to the illegal Mexicans!

I agree. Listen to "I Can" by Nas. Revolutionary lyrics can be uplifting.
