I like how we have shows like this, but also shows like the biggest loser where we demonize being fat. Mixed message much media? Maybe if we focused on the fat phobia culture issue this wouldnt happen. Let kids be kids and if theyre still fat and eat a balanced diet and exercise theyll be fine.

when i have kids, especially if theyre girls, im going to show them pictures of women like Marilyn Monroe (the appropriate ones...) who was a voluptuous, full figured woman who was considered one of the most beautiful and sexy women of her time.

Many girls their age think their fat?! When I was their age, I was experimenting with make up and fashion, not weight and imperfections. I was playing play station/xbox games, I was reading books, going shopping, spending time with friends. Now, a few years later, I am obsessing over my weight. But God, girls their age shouldn't worry about weight! :(

It's so sad how kids are looking at them selfs in this way now.People say it's so people will notice them but I think they actaully think they are fat since they are faced with having to be perfect every day.

@TheWierdOne089 It's not that easy. You can't shield them from everyone. Blaming the parents doesn't stop it or make it go away.

you know i dont care whatever you guys say yes it is sad but this is all our faults ok how many of us have been bullied im sure all of you and in how many movies is there a bullie a ton you see these girls the only reason they starve themselves is because you know you go into middle school or any other grade and people judge you about everything the only thing there doing(and im not saying its the right way)is protecting themsevles they dont have the gut to stand up.
