I only slow it down in my mind, so I catch certain details that are easy to miss. But I think that's because I'm an artist more than writer. I don't add any narrative because I can instantly recall the entire thing in my head later, if I want to write about it. But this does make sense though.

Well, it sort of is in the sense that I can not turn off the "narrator" running through my mind. It's sort of having a program running in the background of your computer that makes it a little laggy. Writing is an art form as well so maybe you're right in that sense too. So maybe it's both at once :)

Very cool.  I think there's a little bit of me like that. I watch a movie and try to feel the behind-the-scenes stuff that's going on in the character's heads. I love your writing and am very glad that you see things the way you do!

I love your writing style, and this explains how you get so many wonderful details, though I think my mind works opposite. Instead of seeing something and translating it into words (as you have shown), I'll read something, anything, and I have to play it as a movie in my head to get the general gist of what is happening. Lovely insight!
