it seems that now the industry doesnt care about ideas and creativity, only sales. how many Gears and CoD do they have to make? i dont think it will crash, but if it does, it will only be a shadow of what it once was...in that case i would hope that the industry would rise out of the ashes, get back to its roots and create games that center around an actual story, character development and gameplay, rather than the graphics wars...where games look incredible but are hollow

@shadowkid1993 as a whole, the game industry doesnt care about hardcore gamers more than they care about making the big $. if its more profitable to transition in to these new technologies, then that is what they will do. look at the # of the ppl who have ipad. why would this new market have any need to pick up a DS or PSP when they can already play on their device? they ARENT harcore gamers who care about mechanics, or playability. just something fun, easy & good looking. they outnumber gamers

@etheangel2220 they wont. people dont buy an ipad to play cool games, they buy it to show off to they're so called friends they too know that if you want to play good games you either buy a home console or a gameboy/sony handheld

what if these asswipes take down the handheld gaming market? they have already shaken or knocked down the powerful music industry and giant bookstores. i havent followed the progress of VG industry in the last couple of years, but it would be a shame if they fell partly becasue they have become lazy and didnt innovate their products, but rather rehash the same games over & over, giving us different titles but nothing new
