I have not seen this film for years, decades even! It was on tv regularly in the 70s but you never see it now, like a lot of great movies. Costs an arm and a leg on dvd.
@Carreaux I couldn't agree more - you've summed it up perfectly. I suspect it's because when making any film you get so many people involved in the pre-production process, so many people attending the meetings and dipping their oars in, that the original idea becomes first confused then lost completely. I read somewhere that MZ2 was Hammer's most exepensive film ever at that time and I think that's what probably happened.
God, I haven't seen this film in such a long time. At heart, it's a workable idea. SF "Westerns" been done plenty of times elsewhere with varying degrees of success. "Outland" and "Firefly" leap to mind. "Moon Zero Two" couldn't make up its mind as to whether it was slapstick or tongue-in-cheek or something a bit grittier, though, and just ended up as a dog's dinner. Shame, really. With a bit of thought, it could have worked.
@TimmyKennethy Well do not care for u to respond to my comments as all u are interested in apparently are really bad science fiction films and space cartoons---so how long have you been living in your parent's basement?
@rangeclerk You don't seem to understand the difference between rattling off random unrelated facts and/or opinions and HAVING AN ACTUAL POINT. What does any of what you've said have to do with this video, or either of the other comments posted on here before yours (other than this all being vaguely about "the Moon")? But you don't have to answer this as I'm going to start ignoring you now since I looked at some of your other Youtube comments, and you are obviously a lunatic (no pun intended).
@TimmyKennethy Guess u cannot read and draw a simple understanding---robotic missions are probes---to "test the waters" but to really get a handle and to see if the resources on the moon and elsewhere within our solar system are useable, human beings have to go there, collect samples and then we return there to do space-based mining and manufacturing---The Meek Shall Inherit the Earth--And the Rich Industialists/ Captialists Shall Inherit the Stars!

It's 'Austin Powers' in space!
Cheesy sci-fi excellence. Plus it has Catherine Von Schell in it which saves it....just.
