just came back to watch this video after commenting on it 2 years ago - why? because of the Marshall that just fell onto the track after Vettel crashed at Montreal was also hilarious
this clip will never be beaten though!

you may think the marshals looked pretty stupid in this clip (Although they still did what they were meant to do), but they certainly did a good job last weekend at sheene curve

lol

literally one of the funniest things i've seen in a while!!! ..... become a marshall today - no GCSE's required!!!

it was the heritage grand touring car support race at the A1GP meeting

Two of the marshalls werent to know, but one had already walked past the mustang behind, yet still continued to push. And it still amazes me that marshalls dont carry extinguishers to the cars, especially this one which visibly had fuel pouring from the filler. Not sure how safe i would feel as a racer, even in these modern and, so called, safer years of motorsport

I believe the marshal who had already walked past the mustang though the car was going to roll over further and was trying to prevent it doing so. Looked pretty stupid to the untrained eye though!!
Certainly lessons can be learned from this bit of video and at an international meeting i would have expected the marshaling to be top notch and in most cases it was, just remember that a video rarely tells the whole story.

There was quite a few fire extinguishers on the scene of the accident, i believe one of the marshals from post 16 took one and also the two marshals in front of the video camera (out of shot) also carried fire extinguishers. There was also a rescue unit and fire truck/car at the corner so if a fire did occur i am sure the driver would be in safe hands.
