Lol, you haven't beaten Flopside Pit of 100 Trials yet? I'm sure you can pull it off.
As to answer the video title…simple…he was able to free him/her/itself from the chain. It's no longer a dark chain chomp but just a dark chomp now! But when you came down, you scared it with your floro sprout back onto its chain. The Chomp mustered the strength to attack you for scaring it at 0:24 as revenge.

The Flopside Pit of One-hundred Trials took me less than an hour, and I was lv. 23 i think. So yeah, at lv.30, it must be a breeze lol.

@shrooby "You can use this pipe to leave the dungeon. Then you can venture down through the 100 trials again to see me." I seriously thought that was a trick the first time I played this... I spent like 10 minutes trying different crap around the room, until I realized I really had to re-do the whole thing. I just kinda sat there with my mouth agape for awhile - pissed, yet shocked beyond belief.
Btw did you use Barry to force the Chain Chomp under the floor?
