I always loved this song. Ian Curtis, the lead singer of Joy Division is an influence on me as a performer. The band is also a huge inspiration in that they were courageous enough to push 70s punk out of it's dogmatic traditions and into the 80s. These guys, along with other acts at Tony Wilson's Factory records (like Happy Monday's) created the New Wave. An amazing story. Two great movies about is: 'Control' and '24 Hour Party People'.
