LSU-UC Irvine 2008 Super Regional Hidden Ball Trick

Second base umpire makes a horrible call after Irvine tries the hidden ball trick. The runner was clearly safe AND the umpire didn't even see the play, he had his back to second base.

Thing about the hidden ball trick is that if the runner doesn't lead off the base, then you are made to look not only like a bush league jerk, but an unsuccessful one.

Your pitcher stands off the mound for an inordinate amount of time, and your second baseman has to sheepishly return the ball to the pitcher.
