@amy1teto1jazzie1 But you DON'T divide it. Which makes it more roomy, not all the guinea pigs will be utilizing all the space at once. While one is sleeping another one could be running laps. A guinea pig cannot run in those store bought cages.

Great!! this surely can improve the life of so many animals that have to live in cages... thanks for the tips - - I built a large version for my two rescued chickens who sleep indoors (it is huge, 5 x 5 x 5). The next thing to teach: everyone Adopt, don't buy animals! I worked in a shelter and it was sad, all the abandoned small (and large) animals.... Yes, guinea pigs and rabbits, ferrets, ratties.... so many animals end up abandoned for whatever reason... adopting will save lives! Thanks.

Would this cage work for a dwarf rabbit?
-
and he says that cage is designed for six pigs, you divide that into six and each pig will have the same amount of space as the small cage
-
the cage at the start isnt the kind of guineapig cage you get its about a quarter of the size so thats just stupid, its probably actually a hamster cage
-
How much did this cost you?
-
@BlueStoneCages I spanked my guinea pig for biting and he died. WHY?
-
The cages are really expensive!!
-
I really need one of these... but I don't think they sell them in Australia. :(

i built a 10 sq feet cage out of ply wood for my pig
Yep - should be fine. Epoxy is just paint.
Also, pigs don't tend to chew on the grids that much - more so on softer things like wood. However, ours (we have 5) do chew on the grids and squeek at us when they want our attention.

@sweetpielemonad
That's the beauty of C&C cages - they're scalable. You can build them as large or as small as you wish. In fact C&C cages were invented by Cavyspirit - a guinea pig rescue organization to house large numbers of homeless pigs. So, ya - too small - make it bigger!

Hey, I was wondering how you got the wheels on the bottom of your cage?
Thanks!

@WinLinOSX
We use casters for office furniture - rated at 75lbs. And we just use cable ties to attach them to the bottom grids.
We also use steel beams to support the cage bottom so it doesn't sag and drag on the floor.
