it is not widely known, but it actually was written as a quintet for these exact instruments.

If you listen really carefully, provided you know the music, you can hear all of the individual parts.
This is one of my favorite pieces of music, I'm so glad that I get to play it in orchestra this year!

we are playing this and i am 1 of the only violins that are aloud to play this (no one elts sounds good and they hate the class) but yeah its kinda hard to play O__o agg my fingers hurt
