New Jersey Gov. Christie responds to NJ Teachers and NJEA members from the "Teachers Gone Wild" video. Previously posted from the National Review

"If you need an example of what I've been talking about for the last nine months — about how the teacher's union leadership is out of touch with the people and out of control — go watch this video," Christie said at a town hall meeting in South Brunswick.

  • @boulderbash19700209 Just explain to me what you think is a bad teacher. Do you really think that is the real problem of education? The real problem with education is there is too much bureaucracy, too much micromanaging by people far removed from the classroom & are clueless to the realities of it. The federal government needs to stay out of education and more local control returned, That is the way the Founding Fathers envisioned it.

  • Isn't it time to do away with this form of a public sector union? When they are at the table negotiating for their raises, who is representing us, the taxpayer???

  • The only way to fix it is to destroy the teachers union. Let them earn their pay and jobs indivdually, otherwise they will continue to leach off the taxpayers while not caring about our kids educations.

  • @gws35 And yet no response to the teachers union video?

  • @henryoil Bad actors, doctors, lawyers, engineers, etc. They'll get what they deserved "instantaneously" compared with teachers (or any public employees). It took years to never of endless administration and legal works to fire them.

  • There are ways to remove bad teachers under responsible administrators, and just what is your solution? More micro managing of teaching, take out all the creativity and base everything on test scores? What about the bad administrators? Do you not have problem with them? Everything starts at the top with any job. You do realize that administrators are simply teachers themselves with no management experience. Its not just the teachers, there are many facets of education.

  • @henryoil

Bad actors get turned down after auditioning for a big role. Bad lawyers don't win cases, and don't get hired. Bad doctors get sued, fined, or even jail time. Bad teachers in the public sector get...............raises.

  • Wait, so you just recorded a video off the Star-Ledger's web site (complete with its copyright as the first thing you see) and posted it on your own Youtube channel? Really?

  • This is the fat condesending, arrogant buffoon that conservatives wanna run for president?!? I can see this pos trial lawyer ripping into some innocent 13 yr old rape victim in court now......how the voters elected this foul mouthed, disrespectful parade float is beyond me...I say give him a dozen quarter pounders, a box of crispy creams and send his fat ass packing!

  • Cut pay and benefits paid to NJEA members. The sooner that happens, the better off the rest of the state will be.
