Robert reviews Panasonic's DMP-BD85P Blu-ray player! At $250, it's not the cheapest option available, but you'll be hard pressed to find another Wi-Fi enabled player at this price range that provides 7.1 analog output. Watch the video to find out if this could be the perfect fit for your home theater setup.

  • This video is quite old. Nowadays nearing end of 2011 u can get a 3D Blu Ray player that has all the features this panasonic has and even more for less then 250$

I like Panasonic / Sony and LG blu ray players. I don't like samsung players and if you want something better go for a PS3 / Pioneer / Onkyo / Oppo / Marantz / Denon.

  • I also recommend reading notices and alerts on any Bluray player manufactures website before you buy because a lot of them seem to have alerts about movies that won't play or have problems when played. This is sadly a technology that still has bugs.

  • I would recommend anyone who wants to buy this unit to buy an extended warranty if a store offers it because I didn't and 1 year and 2 months after I bought the DMP-BD80, it died. I now put in a Bluray or dvd disc and it displays "NoDisc". I'm not sure if this is the cause or coincidence but this happened after I watched the Sony Bluray title "Starship Troopers" which would not play without an SD card.

  • Thanks for this useful video review !

    Love,

    kris.

  • @MultiGeekster i would pass on that sony dude a lot their products are crap i've try that brand before and sony sucks from walkman, car amps, speakers.so stay away from it. i trust panasonic more than sony anytime.

  • My roomate has a HDMI cable hooked up to a HDMI computer monitor when i turn on my blu ray player i get a out of range message. What does out of range mean? What kind of HDMI cable should I use? My roomate is going to Frys today.

  • Did he just said at 0:34 that this player is available from the samsung website???

  • dont go for that go for a ps3 for the blue ray plus its getin a firmware update in June and it has wifi and its only £250

  • he said samsung
