Funny video though it never happened. Go to any hoaxbuster site like Snopes and they trace the history of the story back to the 1930s. The joke has been told and retold in many forms.

Actually it's an old joke that the Coastal guard used to poke fun at the Navy, and like stated before, it's been told in different forms for at least 40 years. Besides, no lighthouses had radio crews in 1991, they we're all fully automated over a decade before that.

Well, they do kinda have the firepower advantage... but I agree, so long as they're not in a war zone, they really shouldn't be dicks
