Jenny and her friends attend a youth centre each week. Jenny has always taken responsibility and has regard for others so her friends are shocked to discover she's going out with a known drug dealer. When they show her their concern she runs away from them and enters a dark world, where she won't listen to her old friends and won't accept help.
This short film was made by the young members of the Midland Regional Youth Services in Athlone, Co.Westmeath, Ireland. Their story explores issues relating to drug awareness among young people. They devised their story and created characters to reflect their ideas. Using whatever resources available, they spent over 8 hours filming their work, over a 2 month period, under the guidance of Fiona MacGinty, director, Co-Motion Film
( www.comotionfilmfestival.org). This project was funded by the Midland Regional Drugs Task Force, Ireland.
