The Christmas classic from Raymond Briggs, which follows Father Christmas on a rather magical journey.
This is the original British version of Father Christmas, voiced by a brilliantly cast Mel Smith, and was first shown on British television on Channel 4 on Christmas Eve 1991.The film was edited for release in America, with a full minute of footage cut with Father Christmas re-voiced by William Dennis Hunt. The most notable cuts in the American version are that most instances of the word 'blooming' are replaced with 'merry'. But scenes also missing are when Father Christmas gets drunk, over-eats, dances with the chorus girls in Vegas, and suffers a hangover. Also cut are even a few candid moments where one catches a glimpse of Father Christmas's bum.
Bloomin' Marvellous!! Thank you. :)
