Two Rescues, One Day

Nearly 50 dogs were rescued off two separate properties in North Carolina - one in Pamlico County and another in Jones County. Both were suspected dogfighting operations.

They weren't bred and trained to fight humans but other dogs, some of them are afraid of humans though. No dog, or animal in general is vicious when it comes to this world. We humans make them that way.

A lot of organizations have put a special light over former dog fighters. They have found great training techniques to try to save as many as possible. Just like Michael Vick's fighting dogs...47 of 51 were saved and I know of one that even became a therapy dog (google Jonny Justice). Look up rescues in your area and see what they have to offer. You might be very surprised. It's amazing what people today are doing for these dogs.
