There is probably an english singing (as opposed to literal) translation called "what is life?"

Bad translations help no one, and whenever possible arias should be sung in the libretto's original language. Some aspects of a piece are lost in every translation, but a bad translation compounds the disconnect. This "translation" is much too explicit; it's meant to go without saying that Orpheus feels this way after Eurydice's death.
