Larry Wessels of Christian Answers and Bob L. Ross of Pilgrim Publications discuss the Biblical references for Hell. Hell is descibed as eternal punishment for the devil and his angels, wicked men and women, rejecters of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, nations that forget God, false Christians, adulterers, fornicators, drunks, the greedy, etc. and those hated by God.

  • @hiyosilver100 Thanks for the comment. I agree with what you said. I just prayed for him this morning. Maybe he'll be rattled enough eventually to repent and trust Jesus as his saviour, I sure hope so :)

  • @NateWardawg YBOR appears to be a strawman troll with nothing to offer except rhetoric and negativity. Loves to use big words and tries to come across as learned. IMO, not worth trading with him (her?) except to rattle his branches.

  • Great vid by Larry and the gang.

May the Lord continue to use their ministry greatly. Hallelluia!

    Thanks for posting brother Dave.

  • @Nate You cannot prove a negative. If I claim there are invisible unicorns orbiting your body and influencing you, how could you prove there isn't? Science doesn't work that way.

I have empirical evidence I can share with you, sure. See this short 8-page paper on consciousness by Daniel Dennett (Prof of Phil, Tufts) titled Consciousness Explained, available here:

    nhoj(.)info/library/Dennett%20-%20Consciousness%20Explained(.)pdf

It's cited over 5,000x because it cites a MYRIAD of studies.

  • I don't think "hell" & "lake of fire" are the same thing. I think the latter place is far worse & larger than the former. The bible said hell (& all its living contents) shall be cast into the lake of fire for all of eternity (AKA 2nd death, after that great white throne judgment).

I don't agree with the guy who said those in hell will rather burn in there continally than (if ever possible) to be saved from God!

I believe anyone in hell (even the vilest) will do anything to get out if possible.

"Any sort of an afterlife is 100% scientifically impossible."

The only way to say 100% is to have empirical evidence, can you share with me 1 shred of empirical evidence to back up your statement?

  • Any sort of an afterlife is 100% scientifically impossible. Hell and heaven are a punishment and reward system set up to confuse you. Hell has a much firmer grip on everyone because of the perceived threat of "what if I'm wrong?" anytime you question your faith. But, in reality, the question you should be asking is "is it even possible to be wrong???"

There's just no reason to live in fear of a place you're not even sure exists. Best of luck to you all.

  • An eternal punishment is completely different from an eternal torment. Matt 25:41 says that hell was made for the devil & his angels. Rev 20:10 says the devil receives eternal torment. Matt 25:46 says the punishment is eternal. The loss of eternal life is an eternal punishment. Removal of an eternal reinforcement is a punishment. Romans 6:23 has 2 choices.

Only Rev 20:10 says eternal torment. Forever is smoke of burning (consumption) means Matt 10:28 follows with no 2nd resurrection.

  • Bob. L Ross is a very good speaker. If you like good ol' bobby you'll like Peter S. Ruckman. To Christians who are watching, you might wanna do a little google/youtube search for Peter S. Ruckman -- he is just an expert all rounder.

  • That's a heck of a long time to watch eternal torment throughout eternity while in heaven. If you look away during the torment then you'd not observe it all.

Then again Matt. 10:28 along with Romans 6:23 might mean that the need to keep watching is unlikely. Only the devil and his angels get eternal torment according to Rev. 20:10 which is the only reference to eternal torment.

Death will not reverse according to the worm not dying. The unquenchable consumption will be final & unavoidable.
