How many rules can a bike break and still not get ahead?

Waiting at red outside the main mail terminal in Copenhagen I saw this guy on bike jump the red light. Then the lights switched and he jumped the next light at red as well as he - illegally - rode through the pedestrian crossing. After waiting for a few cars to pass he continued through the next part of the pedestrian crossing.

If he had waited 5 seconds at my right side and then crossed 5 meters earlier, it would have been a perfect example to show the kids at school on how to do it. Also, he would not have lost even a split second if he had followed the rules.
