This is an original I wrote for the freshman poetry slam.

Lyrics:
I gotta say that I do not quite understand
Why I have not yet run away to join the circus
After that day when you embarrassed me
You made me feel like a clown with ridiculously
Large feet and I know
I'm walking on a tightrope when we speak

Feel free to make fun of me in front of everyone
Maybe let me wear a dunce hat so i can be laughed at
I know I'm not a stupid person I just say the wrong thing sometimes

And maybe you have some problems of your own
You're a seal struggling to balance a ball on your nose
Just to please the crowd when all that they can see is how
You're always so condescending
Especially towards me

And I don't care if you don't like me no need to share it with the class
For now I'll be that silent kid who sits in the back
I know i'm not a stupid person
I just say the wrong thing sometimes
