NASA is instrumental in the building of the international space station. It's shuttle fleet are the only space craft on earth currently capable of delivering the large cargo needed to complete the assembly of the space station. NASA has been working very dilegently over the last few years at safeguarding the last of the fleet before they are retired in 2010. The commander of this mission said that with the complexity of this mission and the 3 dual or tandom space walk operations they did not have much time for hiccups from the spacecraft. He said this was the smoothest finest flight he's seen as far as the operation of the space shuttle and that it is a testament to NASA's renewed hard and tireless work in recent years. The space craft landed September 21st 2006.

Does anyone know what the little bright spots are in the centre of the engines? I can see them here from 0:50 th 0:55. I think they can only be seen in infrared and also as you look directly up them. I wouldn't have thought there would be any fuel burning at that stage of the flight. Is it a kind of fuel dump going on?
