Grauwe vliegenvanger, spotted flycatcher. This video shows the web cam footage of the efforts of two parents raising of five little flycatchers in their nest in an old lantern. The video is shot in June/July 2006 in the Netherlands. The flycatcher is on the red list in NL.
NOTE: In the middle part of the video there is an incredible scene in which a huge dragon fly is fed to the little birds, one almost choking! After 18 days all five chicks flew out and have been fed for nearly two weeks before being left in the hostile world. We await in anxiety their return from South Africa in Spring.
