July 28 2009 garden update

Sorry I haven't been up to date but summer is VERY BUSY for me! I have barely enough time to breathe, let alone do anything else, so be patient with me :-)
And of course youtube ain't givin me love! LOL!

Thanks for the compliment! Nothing I planted has fruited so far, but that's ok cause gardening relaxes me. My kale plant committed suicide and that is a bummer, but I will keep on trying!

I try all sorts of things to grow in, but so far the soda bottles are the best! Just remember to punch drainage holes in the bottom :-)

theres always a plant that doesnt make it.

Im kinda worried about my golden jubilee yellow tomato.

and of course theres been three or four tomato plants and a yellow watermelon that didnt make it this year.

the secret is to plan for those deaths and plant plenty!

Gits you did really well. your herbs are "perty" and so is everything - can I hve some kale? you have a green thumb... I got one surviving okra plant.. and guess what? she finally got a bloom - when i get some okra off that sister... you will see me on here w/ chipmunk cheeks ( full of okra)... okay.

your plantings are really cool, I never thought about using a 2 liter bottle to grow something in.
