This is a spectacular restored Corvette. It left the factory in St. Louis in this gorgeous color. It was a 427/435 hp and like many of these cars, the motor was damaged.
A new LS6 454cid Chevrolet block was stroked and bored to 540 cubic inches. It has a special set of high-performance heads as well as a special aluminum intake manifold and monster carburetor.
The camshaft is an Isky Hydraulic roller cam and the exhaust system consists of tuned headers and 2 1/2"
stainless from front to back.
The transmission is a correct M22 with a 4:11 posi-traction rear end.
We made a short video and you can get a quick idea of the awesome performance this car delivers. I was only able to get on the throttle 50-60%. The road we took the video is narrow and what this car really needs to see it perform at it's capabilities is a good set of "slicks".
There is no doubt this Corvette is capable of turning 1/4 mile elapsed times in the low 10's with a good set of "slicks" and a skilled driver.
haha my dad actually bought this car now it has a new 540ci with 750 hp

@fudgesickle1 It may be someone who thinks that classic cars like this one should remain stock considering that there aren't so much of them...It's a priority for an european restoration but I don't know how they think of it in America...Anyway very cool car, it's so hard to find one of them in France.

Raw horsepower, love it! Who would dislike that? I bet it was someone that doesn't know the meaning of American Muscle!
