  • You want to make a lot of money? Why not sell this watch in ebauche? Lets say $500? Then a lot of watch makers can have the pleasure of building and understanding the watch? Gee, I get to build it too? That sounds like fun. Or you can sell the cnc drawings and have every ones cnc machines cut out the parts, and then they can do the finishing and assembly?

    It didn't have a detent, it has a strange variation of a lever escapement.

  • how many components does that watch has. Does it has more components then the Patek Philippe calibre 89?

  • It's great that the original watch was found - we can now compare the efforts of computer controlled production to the real craftsmanship of the original.

  • This still counts as a quartz movement or is this completely unique? I do not speak french so not sure what Hayek is saying...
