  • WOW a lot of hard work ahead but easily worth the save - they built 600,000 jeeps during the war but only a few remain - keep up the good work it inspires me to keep working on my '46 Cj-2a

  • @SWOLFOOI

thanks for the kind words. it has been a lot of work. i'm sooooo close now it's driving me crazy. check out my other videos for the current progress.

    thanks again.

  • Thats awesome....I have a '59 willys jeep sitting in my garage waiting to get restored. A little bit of rust in the bed...not sure exactly where to start.

  • Thanks. You should start by making a online photo album of some sort. As for the rust just pick a small rusted spot & fix it. I'd do all the small patches 1st. Feel free to pm me and check out the rest of my vids if you haven't already.

  • Mike, Is this a column shift Jeep? You are working on exactly what I want. I'm MattandT's Dad and own the 1942 Ford GPW. I had to do all the floors in the 42. I give you credit for restoring that body as you cannot buy a replica since you know the rarity of the mismatched 45's and 46's. I love it. I need to find one as it's time for another.

  • yes, it was a column shift. when i got it the trans had been changed to a standard floor shift. i love your 42. i always wanted one and the cj2a is a much easyer jeep to find and rebuild. i'll send you a privite message and i can help you find one of the column shifts.
